Northland is the subtropical region of New Zealand and is famous
for it's beaches and it's Kauri forests.
Many of the tribes-people of Northland trace their ancestry back
to Kupe - a Maori hero of ancient times.

 |
In the far north you can take
a trip up 90 mile beach to Cape Reinga where the Tasman Sea and the

Or you could try the Snorkel & Scuba Race and Mid Winter Swim

You can fly, drive or bus to Northland or follow the Twin Coast
Discovery Highway, a great touring route which leaves and returns
from Auckland.
