Palmerston North lies on the banks of the Manuatu River. It has
a population of about 76,000 people. It is 7 hours drive from Auckland
and 2 hours from Wellington.
Palmerston North is served by an excellent international airport
only a short distance from the city.

multiplex cinema.
October to March is the popular Stockcar season and World championship
races.
It is famous for it's short walks in native bush, or through the
Manawatu Gorge, and tramping in the Ruahine, or Tararua Ranges.
